Endo Gut Study

Dr Jane Varney from Monash University is conducting a study to understand the prevalence, type and frequency of gastrointestinal symptoms in women with and without endometriosis, and the role of psychological distress, stool and vaginal microbiota in these women. 

Who is eligible to participate?

Women who experience gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g. abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea) but have had endometriosis ruled out via laparoscopy.

What is involved?
  1. Completing an online questionnaire (takes ~30 minutes)
  2. Collecting 1 stool and 1 vagina sample at home (takes ~10 minutes)
  3. Returning the sample to us via post (satchel supplied)

This study can be done entirely at home.
