The Neuroscience of Pelvic Pain

Do you live with pelvic pain? This video shows our Practitioner Notepad being used to map a person’s pain story through a modern pelvic pain neuroscience lens overlayed with the pelvic anatomy.

It’s not just about listing body parts and diagnoses; it captures:

  • the situations where pain shows up

  • the thoughts and worries that come with it

  • the body’s stress responses (tension, shallow breathing, fatigue, poor sleep)

  • the things that help the system feel safer (support, pacing, movement, calming activities)

By doing this live with a patient, the clinician gently reinforces that pain is not simply a measure of tissue damage, but a protective output of the nervous system that can turn up or down depending on how threatened or safe it feels.

The practitioner notepad can be purchased through our online shop. A poster format is also available.
