Media Enquiries

The Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia team is available for expert commentary, interviews and background briefings across television, radio, print and digital media.

We provide evidence-based insights on pelvic pain conditions across the lifespan — affecting girls, boys, women and men, from adolescence through adulthood. Our expertise includes endometriosis, period pain and menstrual disorders, persistent pelvic pain, bladder pain syndrome, pelvic floor dysfunction, bowel-related pelvic pain, and pain science.

Our clinicians and educators specialise in translating complex medical and biopsychosocial pain science into clear, accurate and accessible information for public audiences. We regularly contribute expertise in:

  • Adolescent period and pelvic pain education

  • Early recognition and intervention

  • Persistent pelvic pain management

  • Male pelvic pain conditions

  • The role of the nervous system in chronic pain

  • Health system gaps and access to care

  • School-based prevention and health literacy programs

  • Workforce education and clinician training

  • Policy development and system reform related to pelvic pain

Our media engagement is grounded in positive, solutions-focused messaging. We emphasise early education, practical management strategies, evidence-based care pathways, stigma reduction, and empowering individuals and families to seek support. We aim to shift the conversation from silence and normalisation of suffering toward informed, proactive care.
