Beyond the Pelvis: Practical Tools for Every Clinical Session
Hosted by Queensland Pelvic Pain Network (QPPN) and True Reproductive Health
How do we take good ideas, emerging research and approaches from other disciplines and turn them into practical tools we can use in everyday clinical care?
Beyond the Pelvis: Practical Tools for Every Clinical Session brings clinicians together to explore practical, evidence-informed approaches that can strengthen the way we assess, communicate with and support people living with pelvic and persistent pain.
Whether you’re already confident in these areas, just beginning to incorporate them into your practice, or looking to develop your skills further, this event offers practical insights you can take straight into your next clinical session.
Across four practical sessions, we’ll explore:
Pain education: How to translate contemporary research into meaningful conversations with patients.
Sensory profiling: Using sensory-informed approaches to better understand individual pain experiences and support assessment and management.
Trauma-informed movement and yoga: Practical principles and skills that can be incorporated into consultations and rehabilitation programs.
Digital tools: How technology can extend support beyond the consultation and help patients apply strategies in everyday life.

Why attend?
You don’t need to be the expert in every approach to learn from it. The focus is on understanding what sits within your role, what you can confidently incorporate into your own sessions, and when collaboration or further expertise can add value.
And importantly, this event is about connection.
Clinicians will gather at local hubs across Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Darwin, connecting into one shared event. Online attendees will also have dedicated breakout opportunities to meet and learn from each other.
