PPEP Talk® for Trans and Gender Diverse Teens
We’re pleased to offer a FREE online Periods, Pain and Endometriosis (PPEP Talk®) sessions for Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) teens, their allies and carers across Australia. These sessions are held online and hosted by our qualified Clinical Educators.
PPEP Talk® provides medically informed, evidence-based education to help young people understand:
What is normal — and not-so-normal — when it comes to periods and pelvic pain
Practical strategies for managing pain and symptoms
How to support themselves and others experiencing pelvic pain
When and where to seek further help
We recognise that conversations about periods, pelvic pain, and endometriosis can feel uncomfortable or challenging. This session is designed specifically for Trans and Gender Diverse teens, ensuring LGBTQIA+ young people can access accurate health information in a supportive, inclusive, and affirming environment.
How Sessions Are Offered
To ensure meaningful discussion and a supportive group experience, PPEP Talk® Trans and Gender Diverse Teens sessions are offered by request only.
A minimum of 5 participants is required for a session to proceed
Sessions are delivered online, Monday to Friday
Available times are between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm (local time)
Sessions are scheduled quarterly, subject to sufficient registrations
Once the minimum number of participants is reached, attendees will be contacted to confirm the session date and time.
Who Can Apply
PPEP Talk® Trans and Gender Diverse Teens is suitable for:
Trans and Gender Diverse young people aged 18 years and under
Their parents, carers, or trusted support people
Community groups and not-for-profit organisations that support Trans and Gender Diverse young people
Community groups and not-for-profits may apply on behalf of the young people they support to help coordinate a group session.
The program is inclusive of all genders, sexualities, and identities.
